Estate Planning and Estate Administration
Richard Burger’s law practice, located in downtown Petaluma, is limited to estate planning and estate administration.
“Estate planning” refers to the process of planning for one’s death or incapacity. While the topic may sound bleak, most people experience great relief once they address those issues they’ve intended to take care of for many years. Richard communicates patiently with his clients, so that they can understand all of their options. He helps his clients fashion a plan that meets their individual needs, while also seeking to reduce taxes, family conflicts and other administrative burdens as much as possible.
“Estate administration” includes advising those acting as trustees of trusts, executors in formal probate proceedings, agents under powers of attorney, guardians of minors, and conservators of incapacitated adults.
